OPINION ESSAY - LAKE MONSTER OR YOUR OWN SHADOW
Do you know how to find ,discover and investigate legendary lake monsters? Further investigation about the existence of the legendary lake monsters should be concerned and done in order to let us know more about their living behavior .This is to ensure a balanced and harmonious ecosystem formed between human and the monsters .They ways of investigation the existence of the legendary lake monsters are  using a hydrophones system ,operating a deepscan operation ,and carrying out a submersible investigation.
One of the most effective ways is using an advanced and high-tech device or system calledhydrophones (underwater microphones) .It can be deployed at intervals throughout the UTP lake and anchored in 700 feet (210 m) of water. Two hydrophones are secured into the lake. After two nights of recording, the tape (sealed inside a 44 gallon drum along with the system's other sensitive components) will retrieve and play . If any "knocks" and "clicks" are recorded by one of the hydrophones in the lake ,it is indicative of echolocation. These sounds are followed by a "turbulent swishing" suggestive of the tail locomotion of a large aquatic animal. The knocks, clicks and resultant swishing are believed are the sounds of an animal echo-locating prey before moving in for the kill. They ways of investigation the existence of the legendary lake monsters are
Besides , a deepscan operation can be taken place to find these monsters . Twenty-four boats equipped with echosounder equipment can be deployed across the whole width of the UTP lake and they will simultaneously send out acoustic waves. After analysing the echosounder images via the acoustic waves, the structures and movements of the huge aquatic creatures can be detected .It can easily scan out the physical appearances and living  behaviors of the monsters .
Moreover ,having a submersible investigation is also a ways to discover and investigate the lake monsters .An experimental submarine which is equipped by sensitive sensors and in a positively buoyant condition can be used to observe the habitat of the monsters in the lake .As this submarine is almost entirely on a suite of active sonars ,it is easy to find the track of the lake monsters although is in hundreds meters below the lake .Also ,the submarine pilots should not have to worry about the attack of the fearsome monsters as the overall protection of the submarine is trustworthy .
As a conclusion ,the ways mentioned above can be used to investigate the existence and living behavior of the legendary lake monsters in UTP lake .

School Problems With Student Behavior

Negative student behavior in school environment has become alarmingly high about which many people are concerned. School managers mention the steady growth of these trends will damage the education system. I believe that you can find the reasons of this disorder in our educational environments and non-qualified teachers.

It is strongly proved that the atmosphere has a significant effect on human reactions. Low air quality standards, lacking of air conditioning, insufficient space for playing, crowded environments are some examples that scientists have proven to be linked to students behavior. The reason is that students are young and energetic so they need to have more outdoor activities. Governments should modify school standards and allocate more subsidies to school managers to reorganize the facilities and space and also to change the shape of our educational area from an office to a calm place for our students.

Besides that, most of our teachers and school managers are not qualified personnel. Statistics show that just three out of twenty five teachers in my country have passed mental related courses and are familiar with some basic needs of students and youngsters. The results attributed to our school managers is worst by just three persons out of a hundred which indicates that there is a strong demand for using of psychologists and educational consultants to plan a appropriate program.

Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend ?

Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend ?

On 4 April, 2012, a survey was conducted in Lecture Room 3, Block N, Universiti Teknologi Petronas to find out how many of the students have boyfriends or girlfriends. The respondent were the students of Universiti Teknologi Petronas which consists of 8 female and 21 male including 1 international male student. The students were all from various races and religious in Malaysia. The age of the respondent was in the range of 17 to 21 years old. The survey was carried out by giving the survey form to the entire respondents who was sitting in a big circle and they answer the question by sequence.

After the survey had finished, the answer from the respondent were calculated and analyzed. The results were then converted in percentage form to make it easier for readers to understand and make comparison. It was a great result that I gain when only 72.4% of the respondent do not have boyfriends or girlfriends while 27.6% have boyfriends or girlfriends. 72.4% out of 29 respondents is equal to 21 people while 27.6% is equal to 8 people.

It is not wrong to have a boyfriend or a girlfriend but parents have to keep an eye on their children so that they will not be influenced by the westerner's cultures which may lead to social problems. Therefore, each and everyone of us should have good manners and live a healthy life.

VEGETABLE RECIPE : ASPARAGUS RECIPE

Asparagus

Selland's market-cafe in Sacramento is an uncommonly good café and often a source of inspiration for foods to prepare. Recently I had some of their asparagus and loved the texture - slightly crunchy (definitely not mushy!) - and the hint of lemon flavor along with the olive oil and Parmesan. Upon inquiry I was told that the asparagus had indeed been parboiled for 2 minutes and then tossed with Parmesan, olive oil, and some lemon zest. So easy!

Asparagus Recipe
Cook time: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS
1 bunch of medium sized asparagus, about 1 lb
2 Tbsp of the most exquisite extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon lemon zest - freshly grated lemon rind
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

METHOD
1 Prepare the asparagus by rinsing them thoroughly, break off any tough, white bottoms and discard. Cut into 1 to 2 inch sections, slicing the asparagus at a slight diagonal.
2 Fill a medium sized saucepan half way with water, bring to a boil. Add the asparagus and reduce heat slightly to a simmer. Parboil the asparagus for exactly 2 minutes. Drain the hot water. While the asparagus are still hot, toss them in a bowl with the olive oil, Parmesan, and lemon rind. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm or room temperature.
Note that when you are working with so few ingredients, it's important to make sure they are of the highest quality.
Yield: Serves 4.

Argumentative Essay: Woman should never give up their job after giving birth

Argumentative Essay: Woman should never give up their job after giving birth by Haiqal Rosli

Do you really think that woman should quit job after their first delivery? Every woman gives birth after they married, including working women. So should they just give up their job after having children? I really think that woman shouldn’t quit job just after first delivery. The next three paragraphs will elaborate about the effects of this issue on the nation’s birth rate and the family happiness also the commitment of a working mother.
The country’s birth rate would be affected because of this issue. Working women who refused to have children because of their career would reduce the birth rate for the country. This would result on negative affects because the country will experience lack of labourer for industrial purpose in the future. Lack of local labourer will make us relay on foreign labourer. Low birth rate also would result on slow population growth. When the population is too low compared to the resources, the efficiency of managing the resources will become low and the economy growth will become slow.
Moreover, this issue also will affect the happiness in a family. Everyone dreams to have a loving family whom they will share their life with. But if women need to choose between her career and having children, this would give bad affect to the family happiness. If the husband really wanted to have children, the wife will face a great dilemma. Having children will guarantee a family happiness. Without them, a family will appear incomplete. Like a big piece of life has been taken away. This eventually will make woman become stressed and unhappy with her life. So a woman shouldn’t choose between her career and her family because she deserves both.
A working mother has two commitments. One is for work and one is for her family. It is normal that everyone has more than one commitment in their life. So why a woman should choose between work and having a family? Statistic shows that majority women in Malaysia are working mothers but still they could maintain their career and be a good mother to their children. Many successful women today are a mother. However, a housewife will have plenty of time with her children compared to a woman with a career. Woman with career need to divides her attention, while a housewife doesn’t have to do that. A housewife will give her full attention to her family thus keeping her family happy.
So as a conclusion, there are many cons than pros if all the women should choose between her career and family. I really think that women should have both of them because they really deserve it. I hope that one day women could find a better way to live and work without sacrificing either one.

Survey On The Range Of Age Of First Love

On 3rd April 2012 at LR3,Block I,UTP, a survey was carried out. I gave a question asking them at what range of age did they experienced their first love or crush.  A total of 29 respondends  (8 females and 21 males) come from different races and religion responded to my survey.

And the result was13.8% of the students said that their first love was between 5-10, 34.5% said that it was between 11-15 and 20.7% was between 16-20 and the rest gave answers like "I don't know" or "I don't care".

As a conclusion, the survey was considered successful. I hope this kind of survey can be conducted again for the upcoming years.

                                              Quitting, Not An Option.

Would you like to get married one day? Are you willing to quit a job after getting married? Well, recently a survey was done by the ministry of women and family development had shown that in the year 2000-2012, the percentage of women quitting their job after having their first child had increased from 2% to 4.5%.For me, i do not agree that women should quit after having their first child because of family economy, psychology and human workforce.

Day by day, the cost of living around the globe had increased. However, the monthly wages of employees had not increased enough to meet the high cost of living we are facing today. A working women would aid the family finance as the husband may not be able to support family on his own wages. If the wife do not work, the children may not receive proper education or suffer from malnutrition as the money situation worsen. Sadly, the number of Malaysians with low wages are still relatively high.

A survey conducted by the ministry of health Malaysia in 2010, had shown that stress is the number one killer among Malaysians. Psychologically, women who quit their jobs after having first child are more likely to suffer from stress than working women. Yes, there are many Malaysian women who are housewives. However, the majority of them are actually forced to be a housewife just because they do not have academic qualifications, if they were given the chance, they would not choose to be a housewife. Instead, these women had sacrificed their childhood dreams just to care for the children

In today’s dog eats dog world, the competition is high almost every job field. So, women's skills and intelligence are needed to aid the growing nation. As we al know, women think more detail than men. Companies are able to plan better to avoid any losses if a women is involve in the decision making. As a result, companies could save budget and able to make more profit in a shorter period of time other than improving a woman's status.

As a conclusion, men and women are destined to help one another, not just in marriage, but in every aspects of life. Opinions from both genders should be heard and considered without taking any sides. We Must work together to develop the nation to improve the lives of the people economically, psychologically, and we should do all these whole heartedly.

QUESTIONAIRE REPORT

SURVEY OF STUDENTS WITH SMELLY FEET

On the 4th of April, at Lecture Room 3, Block N, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, I posted a question to find out about how smelly student think their feet are. The total number of students who were surveyed are 29 consist of 21 males and 8 females. The participants comprised of 28 local Malaysian students and an international student. The participants were of different races and religion that were either pursuing the engineering field or the business field in Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP). The students take turn on answering the question.

After the survey, the questionnaire was analysed meticulously and the student need to rate from 1 to 10. 1 for the least smelly feet and 10 for terribly smelly feet. Based on the gender profile of students involved, I estimated more than 80% would have score above 5, but the result prove otherwise. To my surprise, total number of students rated their feet above 5 which means smelly is approximately about 45% and other 55% would say their feet was not so smelly. Some of them also leave some comments of saying that their feet only smell usually after doing sports activities.

In conclusion, the research can be considered a success. The percentage of student having a problem of smelly feet has been determined. I totally appreciated the cooperation they gave and also for giving an honest responds to the question I gave.

ARGUMENTATIVE ESSSAY

WOMEN SHOULD QUIT AFTER FIRST DELIVERY

“Should I quit or not?” It has been a dilemma for women with carrier after having their first child. I totally agree if they decided to quit as they can focus on raising the baby, nullify the risk of child abuse by foreign maid and gain more experience on how to take good care of their future babies.

After they quit, they don’t have to worry about any problem regarding their work. They will have much more balance in life when compared to women who still working after having their first child. Hence full attention can be given to the baby which will later ensure and maintain the baby’s health and the mother can monitor the baby’s growth constantly in case of any unsuspected diseases.

Main argument from working women is they will have more family income when both father and mother are working. [CA] Although they will obtain more capital, it will only be spent on hiring a maid to take care of the baby. [REF] Due to such circumstances, they will resort to hire a foreign maid as they demand less. Fully entrusted a baby’s safety to someone who is not even related by blood does show a good parental attitudes. That is why there had been several cases about child abuse by foreign maid. Thus, we can say that when the mother carries out her duty, the problem is avoided.

Children are the greatest asset of creating a happy family. When the mothers have experience on how to take good care of their first baby, they will be more prepared to have more babies in the future.  It will make a good impression from those around her; her family and her in-law family. Less quarrelling, more loving in family will confirmed those happily ever after myth.

In conclusion, I would really agree of women would quit after first delivery as they can focus on their main task in their life instead of working, avoid the risk brought by foreign maid and leading the ultimate happy family.

NARRATIVE ESSAY

A JOURNEY TOWARDS THE GLORY

The pain was beating on me like a drum. That was how I can describe the agony of waiting for my SPM examination result just like all of my friends. Here I would like to share what the atmosphere was like when during the journey of going back home to get my result, my feelings and what am I expecting from my result.

My friends and I went back by train. It was like our train as most of the passengers were those who will be taking their result too. What seems to be a long trip was simply a breeze. The two hours ride was like only 20 minutes. The atmosphere was filled with fun which make your smile last for as long as you were on the train. For a moment, the anxiety of taking the SPM result was casted away. Everyone was so occupied by the happiness from the trip as if nothing would happen the next day.

Anxious, nervous, happy, emotional, you describe it, I feel it. Everything was mixed up. I don’t even know how to describe those feelings. It was definitely one of those live or die moment of my life, no doubt about it. The closer the date, the more tense the feeling become. Those around me may see me like plain and emotionless person, but deep inside no one knows. Who on earth would not feel anything upon receiving something that will become the base in shaping their future. Everything definitely relies on that one piece of priceless slip.

What was I expecting at that particular moment is none other than to make my parents proud of their first son who sits for big examination like the SPM, beating both of my sisters’ achievement before. It was all I can give in order to at least make their sacrifice meaningful. It was just plainly to see their son become a person full of glory someday in the future. In addition, I also hope my school will be able to retain its glory as the best school in Malaysia for the seventh time in a row. But still, it was the effort from 249 students in determining whether that hope can be realise or simply stay as fantasy.

In conclusion, it was definitely one of the most unforgettable moments of my life when we going back home to get our result as it was a fun filled ride, with my emotion like a turmoil and for all of us that time, it was our journey towards glory.

REPLY TO LOVE LETTER

THE VOICE OF MY HEART

Dear Hafiz

I have never thought we’ll we be seeing each other again after that day. Although it has been more than 20 years, you didn’t change a bit. Still with your clumsiness, which had made me falling in love with you..... but that was during our teen ages. Things gradually changes. I’m happy with my life now. Though I think it was quite rude of you to bring back about my husband, not to mention you asked me to marry you just after your wife passed away about a month ago.

It took me one year to completely erase you from my thought and my heart. What you’ve done to me was unacceptable. You left me in misery. You also shifted my perception towards other man.  I almost gave up. By the time I can no longer mend my broken heart, my husband came. He managed to comfort me, and he was serious in our relationship, not like you.

Then, I saw you. The entire nightmare flashed before me. The first time I greet you was funny, which always make my tears roll of my face. You were nervous during the first month we known each other. Then my feeling towards you started to grow. You help me with my problem. You were always there to listen to me. But, that one particular incident definitely makes me swear to not ever forgive you.

You asked me to meet you by the lake. I felt like a fool, crying along the way to my room. I can’t afford to see you in class anymore. Whenever I see you, only disgust would come to me. I couldn’t concentrate at all in class. You completely ruin my life. Then again, it was no use crying over spilled milk. We were never destined to be together in the first place. I shouldn’t blame the fate because of what had happen.

I’m replying this letter whole-heartedly. I’m sorry because, I can’t accept you anymore. What ever happen, just live your life to the fullest instead of mourning for the past. Goodbye..

NEWSPAPER REPORT :

UTP FOUNDATION MALE STUDENT ASSAULTED

18 February, Tronoh – ‘Barbaric’ is the only word to describe such cruel act. A male student was found breathless by the lake in the famous University Technology Petronas this morning. All of the suspects, their motifs and  the role of society in curbing such cases to occur shall be elaborated.

“By the look of the victims condition, I believed he had been assaulted not only by one people,” said Inspector Rahman who was in-charge of handling the cases. Don’t judge the book by its cover. What is believed to have been done by several mans was actually accomplished by A student who only wished to be known as Jack, 18 years old foundation students. Unbelievably, the victim was his roommate. “That fool was too easy to be tricked!” said Jack. The victim is believed to have been ambushed by Jack and was stabbed twice through his heart, which lead to instant death. Not enough, Jack had also punched the victim in the face which cracked his skull. Still engulf by his rage, Jack continued to trample on the victim and broke his ribs to pieces. It was truly unimaginable that it was all done by non-other than by an 18 years old student.

How could a friend even think of doing such thing? After thorough investigation and interrogation, Inspector Rahman concluded that the motif was all due to jealousy. Both of them were in the same course and they were very close with each other until recently. Nobody ever thought it was going to end up in such horrible way. “Well, they hadn’t spoken with each other these two or three days,” said Nazmeen, one of Jack companion. It all started when victim, Payne, getting close with Jack’s girlfriend, Gwen. Their relationship was solely for study purposes as Payne is the best student in his school and he was always seen with Gwen, helping her in her study. Jack on the other hand is a great athlete. Most of his time was spent for training. His rational was shifted when he was constantly bombarded by his peers saying Payne and Gwen look much better together. Enrage by the unacceptable fact, he called Jack in the middle of the night saying his motorcycle had ran out of fuel. Without knowing anything, the victim went to pick him which had cost him his life.

Life in university was totally different than that of schools. The lecturers have no need to care much about their student than teachers. Hence, with regard to this matter, it was their close friends who instead of influencing a person like Jack to become the bad guy, they should try to council him to avoid unwanted thing to occur. They can be a good listener for them to express their feeling towards the problem. More or less it lessens the burden carried by them. If thing had started to get worse, peers should immediately report on what had happen to guards on patrol to do necessary things which can make a big difference in the outcome. Instead of having a friend killed, it was better to have them both settle down and solved the problem accordingly.

Jack has been given a death sentence as he was no longer label as juvenile. Payne’s body was claimed by his family to be settled. “We hope, case like this would never occur in the future,” said Inspector Rahman.

Opinion Essay - Preventing Crimes Among UTPians

Preventing Crimes Among UTPians by Haiqal Rosli

BANDAR SERI ISKANDAR, 28 JANUARY,2012 - Do you think crimes is legal? Or do you support criminal and crimes? According to LONGMAN Dictionary of Contemporary English New Edition, crime is defined as an illegal action, which can be punished by law. The following paragraph's will elaborate more on the factors, effects, and ways to overcome this problem especially among UTPians in UTP itself.

In recent years, UTP is widely known as the center of criminal among any other universities in Malaysia. Every week,  we are often shocked by the criminal issues which occurs in UTP. Whom should be blamed upon this problem? Actually, there are many factors that come out which lead to this serious problem in UTP. Firstly, it may because of no parental guidance towards their children when their children are having their long semester break at home. It's believe that, some of their parents are only busy with their work at their site without thinking about their children. In fact, whenever they are coming home, they tend to make everything is okay with the family even, it is not. Besides, lack of religious know is also one of the causes that lead to crime. There always to be a constant relationship between religious tendencies and crime. Generally, we are already known that, all religious teach their believers with goodness in this life. Otherwise, it's all depends to the believers themselves whether to stand towards their religion or not. Other than that, bad influence from friends and surroundings can also make someone feels eager in doing a crime.

Moreover, there are many effects might appear due to crime happen. Empirically, the rate of death increases in the university. This can be seen clearly, by the increasing numbers of crime occur in the university. In addition, university fail to provide the best institution for engineering futures. Meanwhile, students shall not be able to get a proper education from the university because they will be left behind in education. Eventually, academic reputation of students become worse day by day.

Quick actions must be taken to overcome crimes problem in among UTPians especially students as a saying goes, "better late than never". Management department must pinpoint this problem as soon as possible to decrease the rate of crimes tremendously. They should restricted the rules in UTP to be the best institution in producing well-rounded students soon. For example, increase the amount of summons against offenders. Furthermore, all UTPians must inculcate good manners among themselves to create a harmonious environment. Next, student bodies also play important roles by organizing more events with moral message activities. According to the annual statistics of "Safety and Regulations Department"  in UTP, crimes will usually occur in histel. So, authorities must act efficiently to ensure the crimes do not ruin all UTPians by hiring more security guard at hostel.

In a nutshell, everyone must act together in order to decrease the rate of crimes n UTP. Besides, they have to play their roles in preventing crimes especially among students.

Decision After First Delivery.

Do you think women should quit from working after their first delivery? In my opinion, they should quit.  According to statistics one out of every five pregnant women will not return to work, and i think it is a wise steps. The advantages are they can give full attention towards their children, maintain a good health and having a happy family.

Being a working mother means trusting others to do things for you but not necessarily like you do them. Practice letting things go around the house a little bit and delegating more at home and at work. Women who insist on doing it all may end up quitting abruptly due to the stress caused by impossibly high standards. In addition, they maybe fail to manage their emotions and their children will be the victims of their anger.

By qutting from being a career mother, women can give full attention towards their children. Women can give enough care and love and preventing their children from involve in any social problem. Mother can show good parental attitudes to their children instead of hiring a maid; someone that not having any blood relations.

Fully housewife mother can manage their household properly and prepare all the family members needs. Living in such a proper family can streghten the bond between them. As we know, happy family is one of the most important factor to produce a better generation in future.

In a nutshell, women should quit from working after her first delivery because they are capable to create a happy family. Furthermore , by concerntrating guide on a children this would generate a magnificent generation.

Dear my long lost love

Its a long time we didnt contact each other. I’m doing well over here. I miss you too much since the last time we met. I still remember you although I didn't understand  you and I break up. At that time, I was planning to marry you, unfortunately we didn’t.

It is true that we had sweet memories in our relationship back in UTP, but my heart now has someone else. After we break up, I stay a quite long time alone until I found a good girl who shows me a true love. Sorry for this kind of news. If you really miss me why you left me? And you said westlife's songs keep remind you of me,then please dont listen to it. It will just make your heart broken very badly.

I understand now, you getting widower and you need companion to accompany you to the rest of your life, but I cannot be yours anymore. You still have kids right.  I'm very happy with her and I still need you may because we had one of the best relationships of ever? We never know!  . I believe that we will meet again one day. But knowing that I have someone may be you too, will be better to stop think that one day we will be in love again because I didn’t like the way we stop.

Vegetarian Recipe: Vegetarian Stuffed Roast Honey Chicken

Ingredients
Mock Chicken
2 and 1/2 cups soy beans (wash, soak in water for 10 hours)
1 cup flax seeds (wash, soak in water for 10 hours)
4 cups pure gluten powder
3 cups oat meal
1 cup wheat flour
¾ cup cream cheese
2 tablespoon butter
1 cup yeast flakes
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
½ teaspoon white pepper

Basting Broth

½ cup butter, melted
½ cup honey
2 tablespoon lemon juice

Stuffing

2 cups chestnuts
1 and ½ cups bitter gourd (1cm cubes)
1 and ½ cups carrot (1cm cubes)
3 cups white button mushroom (cut into 4 halves)
1 and ½ cups chillis (1.5cm square)
½ cup oat meal
4 tablespoon butter
3 cups water

 Stuffing Seasonings

3 tablespoon yeast flakes
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½  tablespoon dried oregano crushed
½ tablespoon dried mint crushed
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ cup orange juice
½ tablespoon salt

Method
a. Mock Chicken

Drain the flax seeds and blend until smooth, add the drained soy beans and blend till smooth.
Add cream cheese, butter, yeast flakes, salt, cinnamon powder and white pepper to the above mixture and blend till well mixed.
Pour the above mixture in a large bowl, add oat meal and mix well. Leave the mixture aside for 15 minutes.
Now add the wheat flour and gluten powder and knead well. Add a little water if the dough is too hard. Let the dough sit for 10 minutes before kneading again until smooth. You can use a dough mixer or a bread machine to knead if available. While leaving the dough to rest for about ½ hour, proceed to make the mock chicken mould.
To prepare a mold for shaping the dough into a chicken shape, cut aluminium foil approximately 4 inches wide into a continuous long strip. Crumple the foil lightly and roll loosely to form an approximate 1 inch tube. Spiral around it to form a 6 inches long egg shape mould with an approximate 3 inch diameter at the front, 4 inch the center and 2 inch at the tail end. Grease the surface layer with butter.
Remove the dough from the bowl but avoid breaking it up. Lay the dough on a long non-stick tray or a tray lined with cooking parchment to avoid sticking. Flatten the dough out into a approximate 5 inch wide strip. Wrap around the above mould to form the shape of a chicken trunk with the front end close up but the tail end open with ½ inch long of rolled foil protruded. You will need to pinch hard the adjoining edges of the dough together to stick well. Use the remaining dough to form the 2 drumsticks by wrapping it around an 6 inch long lemon grass with the stem end sharpened and inserted into the side of the trunk. You can also use other hard stem such as sugar cane or celery stem as the ‘bone’ of the drumsticks.
When the mock chicken is well shaped, put in on an oval shape casserole to hold it with it’s breast side up. Steam it for an hour till it is well cooked. Remove and cool it while proceeding to prepare the stuffing. (While steaming the chicken, proceed to prepare the chestnuts as shown in the Stuffing –Step 1 & 2 below.)

 b. Stuffing

Make a small incision on sides of each the chestnuts and place it in a skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until toasted. Remove from heat, peel and set aside.
Fry mushroom with 2 tbsp butter for 2 minutes, remove and set aside.
Fry carrot + bitter gourd with 2 tbsp butter for 1 minute, add yeast flakes + oregano + nutmeg + mint leave + salt + orange juice + 3 cups of water. Cook for 3 minutes, add oat meal and cook for 1 minute. Add mushroom + chillis + black pepper + cinnamon, mix well, remove content and place it in a bowl.
Remove the foil from the mock chicken cavity and fill it with the stuffing. Close  the opening with a crumpled alluminium foil. (Place the remaining stuffing content in a casserole and cover for further cooking in the oven later.) Loosely wrap the mock chicken with alluminium foil and place it in the oven and roast for 1 and ½ hour at 160o C.
Mix the basting broth well. Remove the foil from the mock chicken, brush it with the baste and roast it at 190o C. Repeat the basting every 10 minutes until the baste is finished. Remove the roast mock chicken from the oven when the skin turn golden brown and allow to cool while cooking the remaining stuffing.
Place the casserole of remaining stuffing with the cover on into the oven and bake for ½ hour at 170o C. Remove & serve with the mock roast chicken.

Narrative Essay:

The Result Day
It’s psychologically proven that more than half of the populations on Earth do not like examinations, tests, and quizzes. Me? Hell no! I dislike exams! Here’s why.
On 21 March 2012, for other people, it was just a usual Wednesday, but for 2011 SPM-leavers, no doubt it was a life decisive day, the SPM results day. It was also a doom day for many hopeless students, like me. I went back from UTP to my hometown to face the reality. I rode a night bus with my new friends at UTP. On the bus, I sat aside at the end of row of the bus alone because I was too anxious. I need some personal space to calm down as I’m easily disturbed at that time. Finally, the music on the radio was able to bring me temperory peace and I started to fell asleep. But, to my surprise, the bus had reached my house and it was already morning. I did not expect I did not sleep for the whole night. I quickly ran up the stairs and rushed into my bed, thinking of escaping from the reality world. On that morning, I felt so unprepared to receive my SPM slip. Nervous that started yesterday night was like monster, kept eating up my soul. I became extremely panic in my room and once a while, I felt like vomitting. I had no idea what my results would look like. Bits and pieces of old memories kept flashing back in my mind. Language papers were normal. Math & science papers were hard but not too hard that I couldn’t handle. Moral & History papers were the killers. I hate these two subjects. Without studying them well, I had to crap throughout those papers. If the world was still operatinglogically, I knew I badly screwed up those papers. My mind and soul were overwhelmed by tremendous fear.
A knocking sound of the door came by my room. It was my mother. Knowing that she would start her crap in front of me, I dared not to open the door. I couldn’t face my mother at all. In fact, my mother’s voice was already all over my head. Her nagging voice kept repeating in my head like a song played on a spoiled MP3 player stucked on replay. However that morning was different, all she said was “Be happy for whatever you will get. Everything will be fine”. I was surprised. And there she went away. Those words made me calm and felt better. That’s why people say that mothers have the natural ability to calm their children.
Eventually I went back to school. I tried my very best to control myself along the way and prevent anxiety went beyond my consciousness. When I reached the school, the hall was full of ex-form 5 students. After months being separated from my friends, memories of school life gave me a nostalgic vibe. There was so much to catch up with my classmates, teachers and everyone. Everyone were like people haven met for years, chatting cheerfully together in their most comfortable way. Time flies, it was 11 in the morning. Everyone had to line up according to their respective classes.
Finally, the moment of truth was just seconds away. The fear was coming back to haunt me again. My heart was pumping like it was above 130 bpm. Sweat won’t stop trickling down from the back of my spine. Waiting in line, I could see some of my friends who already got their slips. There were sad faces, disappointed faces, satisfied faces, happy faces and masked faces from those who did not want to show their true emotions. It was my turn. My Hands and legs were trembling uncontrollably. But, I told myself no matter how, I still have to face it. I made up my mind and heavy-heartedly, I reach out both my hands to my class teacher to receive my results slip. After receiving it, I tucked it into my bag and quickly walked away. Thanks to my mother’s and friends’ encouragement, I put myself together and pulled the slip out and took a look. There was a C+ but A+ for other subjects. I couldn’t believe my eyes, am I too worried before this? My heart finally calm down. Thank God. Anxiety was over. Although this result would not qualify me for any scholarship, still, I think I’m blessed and I’m satisfied with it compared to the amount of effort I had put in. Anyway, life must go on, there are still mountains for me to climb, obstacles for me to break through in UTP. I will do my best and let’s the God decide the rest. I knew I’m better than that just with a little more effort.

Arguementative Essay:

The Decision Between Child or Work For Women With First Delivery

The life of working women after first delivery has always been one of the hot topics of the discussion among society. Do you think that women should quit their jobs after first delivery. In my opinion, I think that women should continue to work after giving birth to their first child. It is advisable that women should not stop working after first delivery because of increasing cost of living, alternative childcare available, to increase the number of workforce as well as for the mental health of women.

In this modern days and era, the prices of unrenewable energy resources have gone up tremendously and this causes drastic inflation in prices of goods and services as the fossil fuels are the core componenet that keeps the economy running. Unfortunately, the wages of workforce have not followed the step of inflation but rather stay stagnant or even dropping especially in developing countries like Malaysia. To cope with inflation, women have no choice but to work due to poverty, single parentship or both to support their family. Stidies have found clear evidence to show that childhood poverty has a lasting negative impact on children. If the women are working, combines with the wages earned by their couple, they can cope with the rising cost of living. Children can have quality education and more physical luxuries provided there are enough money to spare.

However, many people will say that children will not have enough caring if their mother go working for the whole day long. Actually, this is not true. there are many forms of childcare can be beneficial and complimentary to the care provided by parents. For many centuries it has been traditional for extended families to participate in raising younger generations. Older generations for example grandparents have had hands on experience with young children before. Childcare professionals have similar experience and have often taken courses on child development that make them more knowledgeable than a first time parent. Similarly playing with other children is just as important for improving children’s social skills as contact with their parents. Nurseries and childminders can be good places to expose children to other children.

Furthermore, more women continue to work after giving birth can increase the numbers of workers in public and private sectors. Study by world reknown human resource firm has shown that women have equal abilities in handling jobs which conquered by man. They are also more capable in socialing and act as lubricant for the gears in the company to rotate. All in all, women is much needed in the workforce so that the productivity of the country can be boosted on the way to achieve a high income and developed nation.

Last but not least, mothers should have much freedom as anyone else in society to decide what is best for them and their children. If they would rather work and make alternative arrangements for the care of their child, then that should be considered equally valid. It could cause depression if women are forced to give up work they enjoy to care for their children.

In a nutshell, to fight inflation, women have to continue to work after first delivery especially those living under poverty and singleship to provide quality life and education for their children. Women also should not quit after giving birth because there are alternative childcare options such as grandparents and childcare professionals to take care of their children and at the mean time train their children to be independent. With equal abilities from the women, if they renter the workforce after first delivery, this will increase number of workers thus help boosting country’s productivity. Lastly, women should enjoy their work after first delivery to maintain a healthy mind.

 Opinion Essay:

Education Curriculum in Malaysia Has Stopped Producing Intellectuals
Malaysia is a country that is accredited for being amongst the leading flag bearers to enlighten the primitive world dominated by ignorant people. It was Malaysia that realized the importance of aspects of life other than filling the stomach and covering the bodies, man is a special animal, special because of the grey matter God provided and it was Malaysia that by promoted free and radical thinking helped in quenching the thirsty brains. But on comparing the past with the present we find a sharp contrast in terms of the quality of intellectuals produced by the country, in the mad race for materialism it seems that the basic fundamentals that made us a great country are being trampled underfoot.

Intellects are people who see the world from a different perspective and on the larger canvas. It is such people who contribute to the world hence moving it in a progressive direction as is a saying ‘Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people’. The intellectual growth of a person begins right from childhood when he starts to develop a thinking brain, when he questions the different aspects of life and the process continues till the individual survives so the primary reason for the stark decline in the level of intellect has to be improper foundation and upbringing in terms of the type and style of education bestowed upon them.

Nowadays, due to the education curriculum in practice, a lot of emphasis is given on the bookish knowledge, be it the class works or the strenuous homework, a student is confined to the boundaries of books and is restricted by the deadlines of assignments. The world is too diverse to be reduced to dull uniformities of rules. Education practice such as this pushes the student in a niche thereby closing his mind to the joys and beauty of life.

As a general practice a student is always asked to replicate the notes provided by the school teachers and swaying away from the set path leads to deduction of marks hence creativity is nipped in the bud. No student is ever asked what he likes to do or what he is good at rather the custom education curriculum is imposed resulting in mental fatigue and frustration so a student who if allowed to grow in a free environment could have contributed to the nation in a big way is transformed into a normal individual with no freedom of thought. As a direct consequence the quality of intellectuals found in our country is decreasing at an exponential rate.

The point stated above is proved when we have a look into the education system followed by the developed western countries where individuality is given foremost importance and their education curriculum is based on the same principle. As a result individuals with free mind and great ideas are produced contributing to the growth of their country in general and the world in particular.

Our education policy induces a herd mentality and hence curbs the growth of free thinking individuals who could lead to great ideas and discoveries. Small students are made to carry extremely heavy school bags harming them physically and then they’re made to follow the customary norm without expressing their feedbacks, hurting them mentally.

And now with the increase in the number of suicide cases amongst students it is clear that students are finding it tough to cope with the immense pressure of mugging up books aimlessly without being able to contribute something back. It is of grave importance to identify and combat this very serious matter else we will be living in an India where finding intellectuals would be a rarity.

I would like to end by saying that it is imperative to tackle one of the most urgent but overlooked of the litany of potential show-stoppers looming for the future Indian intellectuals.

Survey Report:

Survey On The Enhancement of English Skill Through Drama Presentation

The english subject in semester 1 of foundation in engineering and in technology of Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) is different from the other university because it consists of drama presentation. It is believe that the inclusion of drama presentation can enhance students’ English skills in a more lively way as well as sustain their interest towards learning English.

To prove that, on the 4th of April, at Lecture Room 3, Block N, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, I conducted a survey  in the English 1 Tutorial Group 1 class to find out more. The question was “Is drama presentation in English 1 FAL0014 enhances your English skills in any form?” and the answer only can be chosen from these three options which were “Yes”, “No” and “Don’t know”. The respondents were the students of that particular class amounting 29 of them. They comprised of 8 female students and 21 male students including 1 international male student. Their ages were ranging from 17 to 20 years old. The students came from different countries and were from various races and religions. For more details, they were taking foundation in petroleum, chemical, civil and electrical and electronic engineering as well as in petroleum geoscience in UTP. There were also few of them taking foundation in business information system and in information technology.

After the survey ,the questionnaire was analysed meticulously and all the answers were calculated carefully. The result was rather encouraging. Based on the statistics collected, there were 13 students answered “Yes” which accounting 44.8% of 29 students. The number of students  answered “No” were 7, which was 24.1%. For the number of students who answered “Don’t know”, there were  9 of them, marking 31%. There were no student refused to answer the questionnaire.

According to the result of the survey, the hypothesis can be proven as drama presentation really help the students out. To obtain more accurate result, the survey should be carried out again for UTP foundation semester 2 and 3 students to see the long term effect of drama presentation in English performance.
