Nearly half of women in Asian countries quit their job after giving
birth, in order for them to take care their newborn child. In my opinion, women
should just continue working. Government organisations and NGOs already
provided maternity leave for pregnant workers, babysitting or day-care services
are established more all over the countries and if women continue working, they
will provide financial assistance for their spouses.
In any countries, the government or any NGOs are ought to give their
pregnant workers maximum of 40 days of leave after giving birth and this is for
the pregnant employee to regain her physical strength after giving birth, in
order to work normally when they come back to work from the leave. During these
40 days, the mother also can spend time with their newborn baby.
Day-care and babysitting services are established more all over the
countries. If the mother decided not to quit her job, she can send her baby to
a day-care service since no one is going to be at home taking care of the baby.
But then, it will be no good for the newborn baby since this is the crucial
time where the mother should be with the baby. If the baby needs to be
breastfeed, the mother should be with the baby at all times.
Women after giving birth continue working, helping their spouses with
the financial matters. Normally, the women will buy the grocery items and the
kitchenware and this require the spouse’s income but if they just continue
working, they will reduce their spouse financial burden.
In conclusion, women should just continue working for the well-being of
the baby, their financial needs and their marriage.
