TRONOH, February 16, 2012 - A final year student was caught of having a pistol in his jacket. It was a surprised case as it was the first time a student of University Technology of Petronas (UTP) who owned a pistol. He was caught at Village Five of male students' hostel at midnight yesterday.

Two security guards who were on duty succeed to catch the suspect. At first, the suspect denied of owning a pistol and he wanted to run from the security. The security was able to catch him  with other students' help. The other students ran after the suspect after hearing the security shouted to the suspect to stop.

The suspect who is known as Mike, was a final year student in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. He is an international student and currently studying in UTP, Malaysia. He always brings out problems in UTP and nearly killed two students because of his bad attitude when driving. Mike also has a lot of unpaid summons throughout this year. His name was blacklisted as he has many problems and bad attitudes.
The UTP security guard, Mr. Shahrul Azmi said that Mike's behaviour was really suspicious. Mr. Shahrul was on duty that night and he felt strange to see that Mike was sweating and looked very anxious. Mike went upstairs three times and went to a black car that was parked by the roadside. He was brought to the police station immediately.

The case was still in investigation. Mike got the exemption from sitting his final exam from the university until the case was over.
