Students Vanished in UTP

15 February, Tronoh – A few students of Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) at Bandar Seri Iskandar, about 215 km or 3 hours north from Kuala Lumpur had been reported lost. It is only a minor issue since 2010 but recently, the case has become a very serious issue as more than 200 students identified to be lost until now.

The friend of some missing students told that their whereabout friends decided to go to the bookstore by using the shortest distance which is passing through the forest in the middle of Chancellor Complex. However, the students had not returned to their room since that. “I have called them many times. There were dialled tones at first, but I can hear weird sounds then, seems like there are some disturbances in the line,” said a student who only wanted to be known as Jeremy.

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, who is also the Chancellor of UTP, had decided to clear the forest off. A few contractors had been assigned to do the project. Unfortunately, it seems like they have failed. Furthermore, weird cases happened such as chainsaw damaged and axes were broken. The only action they can figure out now for the time being is to close the region off so that no one can pass through. Hence, the place is now being called as ‘Bermuda Triangle of UTP’.
