Question : Should woman quit after first delivery? Give your opinion?

            Why must a woman quit after her first delivery? Honestly, in my opinion, I totally disagree with this statement. Women nowadays, have their own ambitions to achieve a goal in life. When it comes to make such a big decision in women's life, there are many issues to be considered. Definitely, the issues that might appear are women's right, family's finance and parental view.

            Recalling the message from the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj towards the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Professor Datuk Dr. Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hassan of her duty to "take care of this nation as a mother, wife, intellectual, and patriot". Based on this message, it can be seen clearly that, woman has their own right to get anything they want in this life instead of quitting their jobs right after first delivery. Professor Dr. Sharifah had became as one of the most influence woman in Malaysia although she had her own children and husband. Her participation in and subsequent stewardship of the National Council of Women's Organization (NCWO) was a natural progression that opened up a new vista pertaining to gender issue.

             Besides that, in order to cater the needs of family, woman should not quit her job after first delivery. Yes, of course when both husband and wife are employed, doubtless, it will improve their family's finance. In addition, because of the raising standards of living, it is a necessary for a couple to work. As instance, if there is a possibility, when their children could not get any other offered scholarships to further studies at a higher level, they have to finance their children's fees at university. Can you imagine if family's finance is the main problem that leads to family depression? At that time, money is everything, as a saying goes, "No money, no talk".

              Moreover, women are eager to achieve their goal. Some of them are very ambitious to be as doctors, engineers, lecturers, pharmacists and so on. In fact, their parents will always stand by their side to give full of supports and soon they will be very happy to see their children success. So, it is totally pathetic if women are willing to quit their job just because of their first delivery right? It's true that, women with careers will have to do all the house chores at home. Nevertheless, nothing is impossible as the number's of succeeding women in this whole world is increasing day by day.

              Last but not least, I would like to stress that, women should not quit after their first delivery. If they are able to deliver a child, they do also have an ability to surprise the world.
