Number of Students Watching Porn Review

  

   On the 4^th of April,at Lecture Room 3,Block N,Universiti Teknologi Petronas,I posted a question to find out about the number of students who has explored pornographic websites through the world wide web(Internet).The total number of students who were surveyed are 29.The participants comprised of 28 local Malaysian students and an international student.In terms of gender,there were 21 males and 8 females all within the age of 17 to 20 years old.The participants were of different races and religion who were either pursuing the engineering field or the business field in Universiti Teknologi Petronas(UTP).The paper with the questionnaire was passed among the 29 people including me and all were required to answer it.

   After the survey,the questionnaire was analysed meticulously and separated into 3 different categories-Yes,No and Invalid answers.I estimated at least half the number of participants would have watched pornographic materials but the results proved otherwise.Based on the results,only an average of 10 students has watched pornographic materials through the internet.To my surprise,only 35% has watched the other 65% did not.On the other hand,8 students answered ‘No’.which gives rise to 28% of them.The other 37% were ‘Invalid’ answers.The number of ‘Invalid’ answers exceeded the others.They were categorized Invalid because the answers did not comply with the question.As an example,some students replied,”I can’t tell you” or “hard to answer”.

   Conclusion is that the research has gone successfully well.The percentage of people who has surfed the internet for pornographic matetrials has been determined.Much gratitude and appreciation for the fellow students who willingly and honestly answered the question.However,the hypothesis which I have made up is not is not proven.Hence,more surveys should be carried out on other students to determine accurately the average number of students who watch pornographic materials on the Net.
