On 4^th April 2012 in LR3, Block N, Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), I had posted a question to find out about what UTP student usually did during April fool. The resonance was 29 student of UTP, which consists of 8 female and 21 male. They are mixed with races, religion and also background. One of them are international student from Sudan. All of the students are aged about 17 to 20 years old. They are taking engineering courses and also Business courses.

Before the survey, I think that University student should never play such a childish games, which is prank a people as they are innocent. Why should we prank a person and made fun of them? Its totally not good and it might hurt others feeling.

From the survey of 29 student in LR3, I found that only 28 student accept my survey and one of them refuse to answer it. So, the percentage of refusing to answer my survey is 3.45%. Nearly half of UTP student do nothing during April fool. 8 of the student like to prank people during the April fool which prank a tutor of theirs’. 6.90%, which is 2 people like to sleep and do not celebrate it as they are Muslim. 13.79% out of 100% do ridiculous thing such as misattribution and lazy serve.

Thus, from this survey we can conclude that most of the students are thinking that prank a people during April fool are not a fun games, it is a childish games. In my opinion, we shall never prank a people as we know what we should do, especially being a University student. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted.
