Dear Mrs. Y,

            Hi Mrs. Y, I am doing very fine these years. It’s a long time we didn’t meet since we had graduated from UTP. I am so sorry to hear that your husband had passed away 3 years ago. He used to be my best friend in UTP, but after we had graduated, we did not contact each other anymore, so I had not received any news that he had passed away. Anyway, I hope that you will be ok and accept this reality to live a better life.

            About those times we are together in UTP, I admit that we are very close and happy together. That moment was one of my memorable times in UTP. I also know that the purpose you hang-out with me is to bait him. But I thought that my sincerity would touch your heart to change your mind to choose me instead of him. I understand I am not that rich, handsome and charming compare to him, but I understand that I can’t force you to fall for me. So instead of trying to make you mine, I had choose to help you to get his heart for you. I was hoping him to give you the love that I can’t give you.

After I had graduated, I had found someone that really loves me truly from her heart. Her name is Kathrine and works as a nurse in the hospital near my house. I knew her when I was involve in a road accident on my way home. She is so kind and caring that she did not mind to listen my sad stories patiently when she finishes her work. She even willing to wait for me for 5 years while I am working in United States of America for Schlumberger in the oil ridge company. I was so touched to her action because normally one will choose to give up this kind of long distance relationship instead for waiting for 5 years.

            After these 5 years of working in United States, I come back to Malaysia with a title of Professional Engineer- IR. The first thing I do is to marry her. After that we had migrated to United States to continue out life there. In the ceremony, I had promised her to love her forever and wouldn’t fall for other woman. Although she had passed away for years, but I still remember very well till this moment. I am living happily with my children at United States now. Although my eldest son is working as an engineer in Texas and my second son is working as a pilot in Australia, they often come back to visit me. I have also my younger son still studying as a doctor here and he is going for his housemanship training soon. My life is as wonderful as what I had planned in my mind except the leaving of Kathrine. I am so glad that Kathrine would work so hard to sustain our relationship when I am not beside her that 5 years. So I am so sorry to tell you that we have no chance and impossible to be together again because I would like to keep my promise for Kathrine that love me truly from her heart.

I hope you understand what I am trying to tell you. Besides that, I hope that you can try to forget the sadness. We still can be friends instead, so please do not mention to be with me again.
